I'm thinking about my next move from my hometown, Besançon. I started hitchhiking when I wanted to go back home after school before the bus was arriving, so I was around 15-16 years old. My biggest HH trip was in Canada, when I crossed two time the country in 6 months. I also did 4 HH trip around Europe.
I'm blogging in French about my trips here : voyagezvotrevie.wordpress.com

Geiranger → Utrecht
Two girls picked me up to bring me up the mountain. They told me I could go up to see a beautiful view. I left my bag at their work and hitchhiked up. It was great. When I came back, they had prepared a breakfast for me ♥
Lost In the Woods
I asked a guy in a petrol station, and he drove me towards Sweden. He had to pick up a fridge before, and I offered my help. Then, he invited me over as it was getting late. His place was in the middle of the forest. They were living simple and authentic life, healthy and environment friendly. Loved them.
Shared a long ride with an old Danish guy. He had to leave me at 11pm in the middle of nowhere in Danemark, where I had to wait in a petrol station for the night.
A nice woman picked me up before Hamburg, and I was struggling to stay awake. She was okay for me to rest. We talked a bit between my naps, and she offered me to bring me to her place in Bonn. Not my way, but I needed to have a rest, and she was really cool. She made me a very nice dinner and made me a really cool hitchhiking sign for the rest of my trip.

Sleeping in a Trailer
We reached Hanover in the evening, and my driver had to stop. He offered me to sleep in the back of his truck after drinking a beer together. I wasn't prepared for that cold, not a good night. On the next day, I helped him to unload some stuff in Hamburg, and he left me in a very bad spot south west of the town. I had no idea where he wanted to leave me, but he said it was good. No.
A crazy Mexican who spent once 200k€ travelling for a year in Europe.
A french family offered me a ride to Sweden. We took a nice way in Danemark to visit a bit. I spent a night in a place I shouldn't, at the ferry station. I was locked inside and provoked the alarm during the night, got kicked out in the morning without fine.
He was coming from Serbia directly to Oslo… Nice guy!
Two Girls going Surfin'

I Am Hot Right?
A girl stopped and I think she did that just to take a selfie with me. She said me directly: "You didn't though I was going to stop, I am hot right?". She just drove me for couple of kilometers in a better spot.
A folk Singer drove me to Kenora. He offered me to go to his country side place, but I had plan to be in Thunder Bay as a friend took a day off to see me. Too bad :(
A girl came back after she saw me few minutes before. She was thinking it could be nice to have company. She asked me for a beer after a couple of minutes. They was some empty bottles on the flood. She was a bit drunk. Well, I said to her, that she could have it, if she let me drive, else I'm going out. She was okay and I drove for 6 hours. Probably saved her life. I got… (read on in Trip)

My first driver of this trip stopped a bit after Watson Lake. She told me she could pick me up if I'm on the way on the next day. Well, after 2 minutes waiting, she passed by and stopped for me again.
Two Swiss & Bears
After a long time waiting in Watson Lake, I got picked up by a couple from Switzerland in their camping car. We stopped a bit after for a swim in a lake. Nice spot. Then, we drove a bit more, and saw some bears along the way. Was cool! They drop me off in a parking lot near some hot springs and I camped for the night.
A woman stopped and asked me some questions before picking me up. She wasn't sure she was doing to do it as it was a first time for her. Then, we talked really well, and she opened up, even shared a lunch with me.
Got to know a little bit more about the tree planting industry. Tough job!
Man Out Of Prison
A young native Canadian man out of prison since a bit picked me up. He killed one guy in a fight when he was younger, by accident. He was very humble and nice.
